Christmas shopping ideas in the November newsletter

Hi Everyone, Most of our guests love to trawl through the shops and cafes of Montville and Maleny. With all their craft and woodwork you are sure to secure some good finds. There are lots of shopping options on the Sunshine Coast and we’ve added some ideas below to help your Christmas shopping along.

The Big Pineapple Markets are now open on Sundays. While Saturday’s Growers’ Fine Foods and Artisans’ Markets are open early from 6am, Sunday’s markets don’t open until after you’ve had your lazy breakfast. Only 15 minutes away, you drive straight past the Big Pinepple and the location for the biggest all-weather markets on the Sunshine Coast. When visiting the markets, venture to the downstairs area of artisans’ workshops and the Function Centre and sample their famous icecreams at the Parfait Cafe every day 9am-3pm.

Our days have been beautiful and there is still plenty of availability left in November – it’s a good time to call and take your choice of the cottages.
So check out our website or call us to plan your next romantic short break!

With less than 7 weeks until Christmas, we thought you may appreciate a few suggestions:
local produce – a basket of pickles, oils or olives? Teas and tisanes? Ginger, macadamias or even lychee liquor?
holiday vouchers – from Hunchy Hideaway of course!
dinner or breakfast vouchers – easy for wherever you live, we have so many options for excellent restaurants nearby
cruises, tours, days out? We’ve heard from many how good the seafood cruise is in Mooloolaba, and it is not expensive.
massages, facials, hair treatments? Indulge your loved one give them some pamper time.
jewellery – antiques or new, authentic or some bling – most girls love a present of jewellery. Or buy them a voucher and they can choose themselves.
homewares – something for the kitchen or Masterchef in your house? Teapots, pottery platters …
stationery – you are sure to find something at Eumundi markets? Just a pretty notebook is always welcome.
fishing gear – a fly or two? Is it time for a new line or tackle box?
plants, herbs, flower pots? Even those with balconies can do with home grown produce.
bottle of wine – with so many wineries around you’ll have lots of fun sampling them first!
