It is so pleasant here right now listening to rain on the roof. The creeks are running, the climate is warm. It really doesn’t matter what the weather is doing, rain or shine our cottages are a little oasis for two. March through to May is Denis’s favourite time of year in the hinterland. He loves the beautiful dawn and dusks, the cool weather and the quieter pace.

Our nearby villages have superb dining, retail experiences and we can supply you with the local gallery trail map (discussed below).

Easter is almost booked out – please contact us if you were hoping for this time as soon as you can. Our country cottages are truly beautiful and represent great value, especially this time of year with low season rates.

Highlight of the month:

Days Out – Hinterland Gallery Trail

Days Out – Hinterland Gallery Trail

Follow the Sunshine Coast’s Art & Craft Gallery Trail linking more than 40 fabulous art and craft galleries boasting works including oil and watercolour paintings; bronze, sandstone and marble sculptures; ceramics and glass; silks and textiles; handmade paper, jewellery and wood. Eighteen galleries from Landsborough in the south to Eumundi in the north and Kenilworth to the west have come together to produce a free, easy-to-read guide highlighting the hinterland’s artistic diversity and promoting art for art’s sake.

Five galleries at Montville are all within walking distance of each other: with everything from the cosy cottage feel of traditional Montville Art Gallery, to beautiful nature shots to glinting gold and silver jewellery, colour therapy and glassworks, and a sophisticated traditional gallery pumping out music by legendary Louis Armstrong.

Other gallery owners support visiting exhibitions and call the hinterland Queensland’s art region. Take in the hinterland’s history, eateries, wineries, walking trails and views for a relaxed day. You’ll be sure to come back.

If you’re looking to plan your next getaway, check out our gorgeous holiday cottages, exceptional environment and a variety of unforgettable experiences.  We hope to see you soon.
