Ever dreamed of living a secluded mountain lifestyle? That’s exactly what inspired Hunchy Hideaway owners, Denis and Ali, to find their own ‘adults only’ retreat in the heart of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
Having a love for adventure and outdoors, Ali and Denis spent many years travelling the world in search of their dream setting. After a long stint in Malaysia, they spent some time in Europe running ski chalets in the Swiss and French Alps, followed by a year in Indonesia working with the Red Cross on the Tsunami Relief Project in Banda Aceh.
But in 2009 they found their calling in a little mountain retreat close to home on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. It was this small property with its secluded cottages and tranquil mountain scenery, which drew them back to their home on the Sunshine Coast to start their Hunchy Hideaway dream. They fell in love with the environment, the beautiful cottages and the chance to live in a little bit of rainforest paradise in Montville.
Today, Hunchy Hideaway accommodates everything from couples retreats, proposal packages, honeymoons, babymoons and relaxation getaways. Under the watchful eye of Ali and Denis, Hunchy Hideaway has become a premium holiday destination for couples all across South East Queensland. They pride themselves on offering their Hunchy Hideaway guests the highest quality rainforest getaway experience.
Having lived in the area for a number of years, Ali and Denis know their way around the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and can offer sound advice so you get the most enjoyment out of your mountain retreat. They are always happy to accommodate your every need, acting as concierge, travel agent and tour guide in order to ensure the most memorable holiday possible. Hundreds of couples have enjoyed the serenity and seclusion of the Montville’s rainforest through Hunchy Hideaway’s cottages. Denis and Ali have also helped many partners propose with their Romance & Proposal package. Many couples have said the words “yes” during their stay because of the secret waterfall and the rose petal hearts that Denis and Ali have set up for the couples’ arrival.
